How much does an eye exam cost at Opti-W?
The eye exam may be covered by RAMQ for people under 18 and 65 and over, subject to eligibility. For everyone else the exam is around $95 and is generally reimbursable by private insurance.
Where are Opti-W clinics located?
Every Opti-W clinic is inside a Walmart Supercentre: Laval, Rosemère, Blainville, Kirkland, St-Constant, St-Bruno-de-Montarville (Quebec) and Thornhill (Ontario). Two more clinics are opening soon in Quebec City and Beauport.
What is the 2 pairs for $200 promotion?
The 2 pairs for $200 promotion includes two complete pairs of glasses (frame + single-vision lenses) from a selected range of frames, with a valid prescription. The progressive-lens version is $300. Options such as tint cost extra.
Which insurance plans does Opti-W accept?
Opti-W accepts most private plans: Sun Life, Manulife, Blue Cross, Desjardins, Industrial Alliance, Canada Life, Green Shield, SSQ and iA. Direct billing to the insurer is available when the plan allows it.
Do I need an appointment at Opti-W?
An appointment is recommended for the eye exam and can be booked online or by phone. To buy glasses, get an adjustment or a repair, walk-ins are welcome during Walmart opening hours.
Does Opti-W offer service in French and English?
Yes. Every Opti-W clinic serves patients in both French and English, in Quebec and Ontario.
Can children get an eye exam at Opti-W?
Yes. Children's eye exams are available at Opti-W clinics with an optometrist on site, and exams for under-18s may be covered by the public plan subject to eligibility.
