The exam takes 20 to 40 minutes. Your optometrist tests your vision with a phoropter, checks intraocular pressure, examines your retina, and discusses your habits (screens, reading, driving). You leave with an updated prescription and personalized recommendations.
Many eye conditions develop without symptoms: glaucoma, ocular hypertension, macular degeneration. An exam every 1–2 years for healthy adults, and yearly for glasses-wearers, kids and seniors. Take the opportunity to update your glasses with our 2-for-$200 or 2-for-$300 promo.
The exam is covered by RAMQ for under-18s and 65+. For others, expect about $95, reimbursable by most private insurance plans.
Yes. If your prescription is under 24 months old, bring it. Otherwise we do the exam on-site.
